We thought it might be something the adults at St. Anne’s could join in with too. Have a look at the display in the Narthex to see if you can complete one of the challenges or make up one of your own. Just make sure you choose activities that are ideas that fit the heading. The children will be adding photos to the display – please send one of yourself to helenparker484@gmail.com or Reverend Lesley areadean.pendle@Blackburn.Anglican.Org
This was our first meeting of 2024 and we focused on Light and Love. Ladies created artwork on canvas, using pastels, acrylic and watercolour; followed by Heart boxes for Lent, similar to WW1 Promise boxes, but filled with 40 prayers or thoughts of love. To view more pictures please click the link.

This year, our Lent Devotional booklet ‘Journey to Freedom’ will walk us through Exodus. Bishop Philip writes in the preface:“Has a greater story ever been told? Exodus has all the ingredients. A flawed hero in Moses. An arch-baddie in Pharaoh. The appalling injustice of slavery. The vivid horrors of the plagues. The jeopardy of a last minute escape. The hyper-real psychodrama of the wilderness. The promise of a glorious freedom. What more could you want? Well there’s much more!Booklets will be available in church on Ash Wednesday and Sunday 18th February
