Today we had a brilliant All Age Service at St Edward's Church. Romford. We learned all about the shining light of Jesus reflecting God's glory, with some of our children playing key roles to help us understand. The message today was that everyone has the light of God and when we leave today we shine bright.Everyone took part, with our congregation getting their phones our to radiate light, on Jesus wrapped in tin foil. Elijah had some problems with their beard and hat, but it was great fun.Come along to the most inclusive church possible, where everyone plays a part. A really warm welcome awaits you.
Coming to new country can be daunting and frightening, especially if you are leaving a country and that is in international conflict. We are really proud of the warm welcome that awaits everyone who comes to St Edward's Church - and we aim to be an inclusive environment for anyone who comes into the church. This is our Ukrainian Children's Choir - who have found a space to sing and rejoice, and we have loved having them sing at our services. They have delighted us with Ukrainian songs, at our Christmas Bazaar, our Carol Concert and our All Age Services.
Once a month we run an All Age Service, where our younger members of the community take key roles in the service. Today, (14th Jan 2024), we learned about the Kings and how they followed the star to lead them to the birth of Baby Jesus. Some of our Diddy Disciples and our Junior Church took part today dressing up as the Kings / the Star/ and horses / camels. The children loved being a part of the service and all got a massive clap at the end of the service for playing their parts so well! A quote today from one of our key actors aka camel / horse, "It was such fun!".Check out out Church Services page for more information on the next one. We look forward to seeing you.
