At St Edward’s our altar kneelers are embroidered with scenes of the life of St Edward in the style of the Bayeux Tapestry. So if you can’t get tickets to see the original at the British Museum (or even if you can) come and see our version! No tickets needed, free entry and no queuing or security checks! The church is normally open between 10 -2 from Tuesday to Saturday and for services on Sunday at 8 and 10 AM.
On Friday our beautiful choir had the privilege of singing Evensong at Westminster Abbey. It was truly amazing and the choir sounded beautiful. We were so lucky to be there. If you have never heard our choir sing, then please do join us for our very own Evensong at St Edward's Church 13th Sep 18:30.
Last Saturday, St Edward's held their first St Edward's Fest. What an amazing day with people coming from all over the borough and further afield, to join us, celebrate a great community day in the Church Grounds. Bouncy Castles, animals, ice cream, some fabulous local acts, and lots of games. It was a great day, and the Romford community really came together in the sunshine, to laugh, join together, chat and enjoy life. All in the fabulous surroundings of St Edward's Church.Thank you to everyone who joined us, either by volunteering, making cakes, making sure the church stayed open or just came and spent time with us. We made circa £3700 - a massive amount for the church. Thank you Romford!
