St Edward's Church recently supported the local Harvest Appeal. As you will see from the attached photo, we helped to create a wonderful ‘Mountain of Blessings’. In total Collier Row and Romford Food Bank collected 2904.55kgs of food which is enough to stock the foodbank for approximately 5 weeks and will feed about 150 families of 4 people. We are so proud to be able to support this fabulous project!
We recently welcomed the Romford Floral Art Society who used the church last Saturday for a floral workshop. As you can see our beautiful church surroundings really encouraged creativity. We do hire the church for events so please do reach out if you would like the details.
To end our 175th Anniversary Celebrations, we were privileged to have Bishop Guli to preside over our Patronal Festival. It was a beautiful service, where Bishop Guli outlined the importance of Faith, now and in the future, and how the church building has been here for 175 years, but continues in the community we all build today. There was also time for a small celebration after the service, a big thank you to everyone who celebrated with us today.
