Today we celebrated our Harvest Festival Service, with prayers and hymns to note this special time of year. There was a splendid display of donated foodstuffs, which will be taken to our local food bank. Many thanks to everyone who contributed.Thanks are also due to everyone who made Saturday's Race Night a success, helping to raise over £300 for church funds.This week we have our usual gardening maintenance team on Monday, the Mothers Union on Tuesday at 1.30pm, Morning Worship on Thursday at 9.45am and coffee morning in the hall on Friday, 10.30-12noon. We are also taking this opportunity to promote the coffee morning as a 'warm space' during the winter months.

Today we held a special service of Holy Communion to mark the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II and the accession of her son, King Charles III.The service ended with the proclamation and the singing of God Save the King.The church had been open for two days this weekend for quiet reflection and prayer. A Book of Condolence was made available.Next Sunday's service will be communion by extension led by our reader.Also this week, we have prize bingo on Tuesday afternoon in the hall and the usual coffee morning on Friday in the hall 10.30 to 12noon.
