The World Day of Prayer is an annual multi-faith event which involves readings and prayers inspired by a specific theme.This year St James Church is the host for our area's groups of ecumenical churches.The theme this year is inspired by Jeremiah 19: 'I know the plans I have for you.'The overarching theme is HOPE and the focus is on England, Wales and Northern Ireland.All are welcome to attend the event, which is on Friday, March 4 at 1.30pm.

The activity leader will have a first aid kit, but for minor incidents it may be better to use your own supplies.Bring your own drink. Arrive dressed ready for the activity and limit the amount of personal belongings brought into the activity room, such as coats and bags.During the activity: Please follow government guidelines on social contact and physical distancing. The activity leader will instruct you on where to sit or stand. You should try to stay in your space and avoid moving around the room where possible. Windows or doors will be open for ventilation where possible. Avoid sharing equipment with others. Let the activity leader know if you are feeling unwell.
Our regular Friday coffee mornings, which were put on hold during the pandemic, restarted in September but are currently on a Christmas break. They will resume in the New Year.Held in St James Church Hall between 10.30am and 12noon, the coffee mornings are a great opportunity for people to meet and chat over refreshments.Everyone welcome!
