As we move into 2023, St James PCC wishes everyone a happy and healthy New Year.Our service on New Year's Day will start at 11am and will be Morning Prayer led by our reader. Next Sunday the Eucharist for the Epiphany will be led by the Rev Andrea Dart, starting at the usual time of 11am.The week ahead includes:Tuesday - Mothers Union in the hall, 1.30pmThursday - Morning Worship in church, 9.45amFriday - Coffee Shop in the hall, 10.30am-12noon
Join us in church this Christmas Eve...Our Crib Service is at 5pm, where we place our figures in the crib to last through Christmas and up to Epiphany. This will be followed by Bethlehem Mass at 9pm, a change from our usual Midnight Mass.Our Christmas Day eucharist is at the regular time of 11am.
Our Christmas tree arrives tomorrow! It will be set up in church and decorated ready for our festive events and services.This includes the Christmas Concert in church on Friday, December 16, at 7pm.Then we have our Carol Service in church on Sunday, December 18, at 4pm. Full details of all our Christmas services can be found on the separate page on this site.Next Friday's Coffee Morning, December 16, will be the last before Christmas, resuming in January 6.
As we move towards the third Sunday in Advent, plans are gathering apace to celebrate Christmas.Next Sunday, December 11, we are holding a Christmas Messy Church in the hall, 2.30 to 4.30, a special family event with faith-based activities and refreshments.On the following Friday, December 16, there will be a concert in church featuring the pupils of a local music teacher.
