Great Parndon: St Mary

A Dove of Peace has been donated to us by a local wood carver, Mr Rob Taylor.
It has been carved from a section of the chestnut tree and is on display at the front of the church, next to the altar.

Unfortunately the remainder of the chestnut tree has been removed as it was diseased.

Application for plaque at entrance to churchyard has been approved.

On the night of 4th January a large limb of the chestnut tree at the church yard entrance fell down. This has been made safe but more of the tree will have to be cut as the tree is diseased.
