As part of Hope@Easter: 38 families in Sapcote and Sharnford received Aldi Vouchers and fresh fruit in late March 2026; whilst 70 individuals/couples received plants through Churches Together Flowers@Easter on Maundy Thursday. The plant donations also came with an Easter card made by a pupils from All Saints Primary School.All of these were delivered by many members of all All Saints, Sapcote; St Helen's Sharnford and Sapcote Methodist Church. Many people expressed how grateful they were to receive these gifts and were touched by the thoughtfulness of their church. One resident commented on and really appreciated the super artwork on their card.Some households even shared their prayer needs at the time of delivery which are being prayed for by the churches' confidential prayer groups. The Hope team would just like to thank everyone involved in making this possible: the deliverers, those who have generously donated and especially for the prayer support the initiative received and continues to receive. Thank you all so much for surrounding Hope@Christmas with your prayers. Twenty nine parcels of Aldi vouchers, fruit and Christmas treats were safely and swiftly delivered or collected today. Our deliverers all reported back that the families were all extremely grateful and went out of their way to make sure that their thanks were passed on to all who contributed to 'Hope'. We also heard how delighted many of the children were when they saw the beautiful hampers of fruit-some reported that the children's faces lit up on seeing them.The team would like to thank all who gave such generous financial donations , including the Parish Councils, the WI and many individuals. We also thank: Reidy's for supplying our fruit; Masons at Fosse Meadows for making 'Hope' their Christmas charity this year and the Hinckley Area Food Bank for the Christmas pudds! Beginning initially as a national Baby Loss Awareness Day in 2002, Baby Loss Awareness Week has taken place every October in the UK since then. The week is a collaboration between a number of bereavement charities and aims to offer support, solidarity and comfort to everyone whose lives have been touched by the impact of pregnancy and baby loss. This year, for the first time, All Saints Church will be offering an opportunity of a time and space to remember and reflect.
