We are pleased to say that in line with government guidance we are gradually relaxing COVID precautions to return to more normal services in church. For example we will relax social distancing in church, keep the church open every day now for private prayer, but continue to offer hand sanitiser and to keep Test and Trace records. If you choose not to wear a mask in church that will be fine: if you feel safer keeping a mask on that is fine too. We, and everyone in church, want you to feel safe and comfortable. We hope you will feel able to come back safely to services in church again, but will still continue to offer services online as well.We will continue to check local COVID infection rates and review our precautions accordingly. If you have any concerns or questions please contact one of the ChurchwardensSt Peter’s, Humshaugh Parochial Church Council
After the wedding of Jenny Bradley and Fraser Sym in St Peter's on Saturday, a Model T Ford was on hand to drive the happy couple away: there were two glasses of celebratory champagne waiting for them in the car! Strange to think that while St Peter's built in 1818 is just over two hundred years old, the Model T was built in 1915, just over one hundred itself! It was a lovely wedding and we all wish Jenny and Fraser every happiness!
