Lucy Davison - our much loved long time Organist at St Peter’s Humshaugh, died peacefully at home on 10th September, aged 93 years. Her Cremation will be on Thursday 23rd September followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at St Peter’s Church, Humshaugh at 12 noon to which all who knew her are welcome, followed by refreshments in the Village Hall.
Now that COVID restrictions are beginning to be relaxed we are at last able to meet together to remember our late vicar, the Reverend Steve Wilkinson, at a Memorial Service for him at 3pm on Saturday 18th September. We are expecting a large turnout! Numbers in church are limited to around 150 but the service will also be live-streamed to the Village Hall, which can seat another 100. Please bear with us and follow the service from there if you find the church is full when you arrive. Another alternative, weather permitting, is that we will relay the service via loudspeaker outside the church. COVID precautionsIn line with government guidance most precautions have been relaxed, but for everyone’s safety we would encourage you to please take a COVID lateral flow test before the service. If the test is positive, or if you show any symptoms of COVID, or if you are in any way concerned about joining the service in person, you can still join by livestream from your home on http://www.dejavuvideo.co.uk/wilkinson/The video will also appear on YouTube: please 'Get In Touch' from our page below if you would like the link.
