The PCC carried out a risk assessment, in line with Church of England/Diocese of Derby guidelines in relation to re-opening the Church and holding services. The risk assessment was approved by the Archdeacon of Derby, the Venerable Dr Christopher Cunliffe. At a socially distanced, outdoor meeting held on 20 July, the PCC agreed to re-open for a said Morning Prayer service on 6 September. More information will follow in the calendar.
Holy Trinity Church, Stanton in Peak, remains closed for now. The PCC members are following Diocese and Government advice to ensure the risk assessment is in line with their recommendations.
All regular services have been removed from the calendar to avoid any confusion. The webpage will be updated at the appropriate time. Stay safe and well during this difficult time.
COVID-19 The Church continues to be alive and active, but our buildings must close We are seeing a huge increase in the number of people falling sick with COVID-19. We must distance ourselves from one another and prevent the spread of infection in order to save lives. Therefore, as well as public worship being suspended, all Church buildings in the Church of England are now closed. Our worship of God and our care for each other continue but cannot be done in this building. Please check the Diocese website for information on streaming of services for viewing. You can also find prayer resources at www.churchofengland.org.
