If you've passed by the church recently you may have see the scaffolding up, which marks the start of the work to the building to help keep it safe. This is possible because of the success of our 'Safe and Dry' campaign launched 18 months ago. We have now achieved our target of £35,000, and are very grateful to local people who have responded so generously. Thank you to everyone who contributed. We are also grateful to a number of charities who have awarded us grants, among them The National Churches Trust and the Wolfson Foundation. Their support helped us achieve our target in time to start work this spring. As a result of this work, we hope to ensure that the rain is kept our of the building at certain points where it regularly comes in, and that failing stonework in certain areas is made secure. All of this is part of our stewardship of our beautiful parish church which is so loved by so many.
