Everyone is invited to the Service for Christian Unity being held at Tottlebank Baptist Church on Sunday 19th January 2020, 10.30am. This is part of the celebration for the Week of Christian Unity, and the congregations of Holy Trinity, Colton, St. Luke's, Lowick with Blawith, and St. Mary the Virgin, Egton cum Newland will be joining our Baptist sisters and brothers — but all are welcome!
From January 2020 there will be a new benefice magazine, the Coniston and Crake Valley News, that combines the three parish magazines of Coniston & Torver, Lowick & Egton cum Newland, and Colton. The format has been completely revamped, the magazine will be subscription-free, and the focus is on community news. We hope that you will enjoy the new magazine and that it helps you to feel in touch with your comment — so, if you are happy with the magazine then please do tell us, and if you are not happy with the magazine then also tell us! We want the Coniston and Crake Valley News to become a voice for all the community, so please help us to achieve that aim — thank you.
Yes, it's official, the Benefice of Coniston and the Crake Valley has moved into the modern age — we have a website! From 1st January 2020 the new Benefice of Coniston and the Crake Valley website will go live, and we will now have a two-way digital window onto the wider world. The aims of the benefice website are to communicate our Christian presence and the Christian message in the valley; to communicate and news and publicise events; and to communicate on behalf of and champion our communities and their way of life. So, the website is all about communication! Please do offer your feedback and comments by emailing our Administrator, Juliet, at admin@conistonandcrakechurches.co.uk.
