Rev. Tracy was licensed as priest in charge of Christ Church, Wesham by Bishop Philip at the Eucharist at Whalley Abbey today. This is so she can become Jono's training incumbent.Exciting times for Christ Church, Wesham as Jono will soon be joining them as their curate in charge and leading the ministry there. Laura, who is training to be a Licensed Lay Minister for Christ Church, Wesham, is on placement with us and led our service.Thank you to Year 6 from Freckleton C of E Primary School for your beautiful prayers.We thought about Ascension Day, and the children ascended a teddy up into the pulpit as an illustration. And we thought about how that was the start of a church, a small seed that grew with the Holy Spirit's help, so we planted sunflower seeds. And we reflected on our mission to others, too.Heather, one of our churchwardens, is celebrating a special birthday this week, so we all shared cake!
A delight as always to lead worship at Freckleton C of E Primary School. Today, we looked at the theme of friendship, which is this half term's value, and also Ascension Day.
