We made Nativity characters and figures as we discussed Advent and Christmas and what it means to us this year. The Betty’s cake boxes came in handy for our Nativity displays, and we enjoyed Christmas cake. We then reflected on light in the darkness, the Light and Love of Jesus, listened to music and ended with a time of prayer. Our next meeting is Wednesday 7th January 2026.
It was a lovely time of fellowship as we support each other in our ministries within Pendle Deanery
After a short Act of Worship, the games began followed by food. Great to see adults and children join in the fun. For more pictures click the link. Next session Friday 9th January 2026. Do join us.
Reverend Lesley met Michelin Star chef Tom Parker this week. We are excited and looking forward to enjoying his food at The Refectory, and grateful for his kind offer to host this Christmas meal. Tom has retained his Star since 2017 and runs the White Swan in Fence. Chef Tom said, “It’s an absolute joy and pleasure to support the village, the White Swan is a big part of the village and it’s always nice to give something back certainly around Christmas time’ The White Swan is open all throughout Christmas apart from Boxing Day.
