We shared lots of memories, looking at photographs and momentos, of weddings of others, Royal Weddings and our own. Some receipts from 1979 showed a Reception for 48 people was £110.00 and a Carnation buttonhole 70p. All rounded off with a delicious cake from Betty’s and a pot of tea. PLEASE NOTE: there will be no meeting on 15th April. Next meeting will be 20th May, 1.30pm – 3pm. Our theme will be flowers and gardens – your own, wild flowers on walks and days out, flower arrangements, flowers in church, your favourite flowers. Please bring a long stemmed flower or hedgerow wild flower, greenery, or even a weed to our meeting.
We heard the story of David and Goliath, watching a short film. We made ‘Courage jars’ as we thought of what helps us to have courage.PLEASE NOTE: There will be no April meeting (11th). Next meeting is 9th May - why not join us for a relaxed time of family worship, food and fun. All school age youngsters welcome, accompanied by a parent or carer.
