It was great to welcome people from both our parishes and also Revd Adrian, the Methodist Minister in Fence. I felt it was a very fruitful time of prayer, sharing and fellowship. Many stayed for lunch. Look out for more prayer events like this again after Easter.
Margaret brought a plaque made from the oak of St Anne’s old organ; Caroline brought frogs and teddy and we saw lovely photographs and shared many happy days. All finished off with tea and cakes courtesy of ‘Betty’s’ Next meeting is February 18th at 1.30pm. All welcome

We'd like to share the amazing impact your support had in the last year. It was a difficult year for Ripple Effect farmers as they faced challenges such as severe drought and floods due to the climate crisis. But with your help St. Anne’s Church, we created so many ripples of change”. The picture is the wooden plaque that is displayed in our Refectory Walled Garden
If you are not baptised, please speak to Reverend Lesley. May each one of us start this year knowing the love of Jesus in our lives. Baptism marks the beginning of a journey with God which continues for the rest of our lives and is the first step in response to God’s love. It is traditionally done with babies and children, but age is no barrier – many adults nowadays wish to be baptised. The service paints many vivid pictures of what happens on the Christian way. There is the signing of the cross on the forehead, that invisible badge of faith worn in the Christian journey; there is the ‘drowning’ in the water where we believe we die to sin and are raised to new life; and there is the lighted candle symbolising the light of Christ conquering the darkness of evil. Everyone who is baptised walks in that light for the rest of their lives.
