Our bee hive is managed by local beekeeper Elly. We hope they will work hard to increase pollination of plants around Higham as well as make some honey for us. The yellow plastic crate at the side of the hive is important as it is what the bees recognise as they return to their hive. If you have any questions please do email them to me areadean.pendle@blackburn.anglican.org

We have our very own bee hive. It is located at the rear of the church grounds, beyond the graves and we hope to produce our own ‘St John’s Honey’. The bees can travel up to 3 miles to collect pollen. We are grateful to our Authorised Lay Minister, John Shaw who helps our church be an ‘ECO Church’ as we protect our environment and the beautiful world God gave us.
