Church Bells Work has begun in installing the new frame, and the bells themselves will also be rehung shortly. Exciting! BBQ Tickets are available for the church BBQ next Saturday (13th) at 7.00pm in the church grounds. These are available after services for £6, to include the first drink (soft drinks ad lib) Do come along! Jumble Sale Saturday 27th August 10-12 in the Church Hall. Donations of clean, saleable items in good repair welcome. Small household item but no electrical goods. Offers of help on the day would be appreciated. Please see Liz Hathway or Wendy Burge for more details. Posters are available at the back of church for your front windows or local shops, if you’d be kind enough to display. Lend with Care We have received a number of repayments over the last few months from all 15 people who we are supporting with a loan, this has meant that we can offer a loan to Dixie in the Philippines. Dixie wants to be able to buy her vegetable stocks in bulk so that she can sell at a more affordable price to help her regular customers. They are all grateful for our support in helping them to set up their own businesses and improve their lives. Thank you for your support. New Gloria We are introducing a new setting to the Gloria. If it is helpful, the tune is printed for you and at the back of church.

NOTICES Gardening Thank you, all who helped yesterday clearing and tidying the church grounds. It was well worth the effort! David Knight RIP David’s funeral will be at Kingston St Mary this Tuesday (2nd) at 12 noon. May he rest in peace and rise in glory. Covid Because of the recent 'spike', and the fact that more of our congregation have contracted Covid in the last few weeks than at any other time, please do be careful. The choir will not sing in procession at the beginning of the Parish Mass; instead the plainsong 'propers' will be sung until the procession has entered the chancel. This is a fund-raising event for Temple Methodist, with a retiring collection. Church Bells Work has begun in the tower for the new bell-frame to be installed, which hopefully will be this week. After that, the refurbished bells will be hung. Photos of them in all their new glory are on display at the back of church.
NOTICES Gardening Now the weather is cooler, please do come along this Saturday (30th) between 2.30 and 4, if you can, to help keep the church grounds tidy. Refreshments available! David Knight, RIP It was with great sadness that we heard of David's death on 12 July. He had been hospital for five weeks following a heart attack. We will remember him as our organist/choir director from Feb 2016 to July 2018. Our sympathy and prayer go out to Kate, his wife, who sang in the choir (and played the saxophone) when David was here. Funeral details will be announced later. Sharing Together Our monthly discussion group really will meet this Thursday, 28th, at the Vicarage! Apologies for the confusion over the dates...
