We have just one service in our group of parishes this Sunday, 21 March – 11 am in St Andrew's, Presteigne, a service Holy Communion for the fifth Sunday of Lent, marking the beginning of the Passion of our Lord.Everyone is welcome to attend, but please remember that you must wear face covering unless exempt, and we cannot allow chatting inside or outside church before or after the service. We may not sing hymns and only wafers, not wine, will be offered at Communion. We do hope some of these measures will be eased before too long.If you are unable to join us, you can find the Collect, Reading and a Meditation by Rev Steve Hollinghurst elsewhere on this page, for us at home with the short service for Lent provided a few weeks ago.
We have two services in the Presteigne Group of Parishes this Sunday - the fourth Sunday in Lent and also Mothering Sunday. As usual, social distancing measures will be in place at both churches, and we need to ask you to wear face coverings unless exempt and to refrain from chatting or mngling at all, before or after the service. We know how hard this is, but it is so important in enabling us to continue to hold services in person in two of our churches. If you are unable to come to church, you can find the Collect, Readings, a meditation by Rev Stephen Hollinghurst and some prayers for Mothering Sunday elsewhere on this page.
We have just one service in the Presteigne Group of Parishes on Sunday 7 March (Lent 3)11 am Holy Communion (according to the Common Worship liturgy) PresteigneEveryone is very welcome to attend, but please don't forget that all the regulations are still in place to limit the spread of Covid-19 - in particular everyone must wear face coverings unless exempt, and we have to ask you not to chat to one another either inside or outside the church, before or after the service. We know this is very hard indeed, but we really hope the toughest of the restrictions will soon be lifted. You can find the Collect, Reading and a Meditation for this Sunday by Rev Stephen Hollinghurst elsewhere on this page.
During the months when we are in lockdown we are unable to collate and distribute a print version of The Parish Magazine - but it still appears in electronic form and is emailed to anyone who has asked to be on our mailing list. You can download the March 2021 issue to read at home - printed out, or on your screen - from this page.We are immensely grateful to the magazine's editor, Roger Curtis, and everyone else who makes this possible.
