St Gabriel’s Church located south west of Walsall town centre, and has been serving its local community and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ for over 80 years. It is a church rooted in the catholic tradition of the Church of England. At its best, this rich tradition is handed on to future generations as a lively and growing faith. It should always be outward looking. Bishop Frank Weston said at the Anglo Catholic congress of 1923.
‘if you are prepared to fight for the right of adoring Jesus in His Blessed Sacrament, then, when you come out from before your tabernacles, you must walk with Christ, mystically present in you, through the streets of this country, and find the same Christ in the peoples of your cities and villages.’
As a Community of Christian faith, we welcome all you seek to find Jesus, with us. We also seek to dialogue and show respect to those of other faiths, working together for the common good. We welcome all who wish to engage with us facing the joys and challenges of life.
It is hoped that this website will give you an insight into the life of St Gabriel’s Church and the welcome you will find there. It also serves to give practical information regarding, Baptisms, Weddings and funerals, as well as details about events, celebrations and festivals celebrated throughout the year.
May God bless you and keep you.
Fr Mark McIntyre
