Hardwicke: St Nicholas
Welcome to our Home page!
Our 11am service on the 3rd Sunday each month will be held at Hardwicke Parochial Primary academy, Poplar Way, Hardwicke, GL2 4QG. This is suitable for all ages and has modern songs. It's not a Communion service. (HOWEVER on 18 Feb 2024 the service will be held in the church)
Other Sunday services continue as usual in the Church at 11am. The first Sunday each month is "Simply worship" - a simple Holy Communion with modern songs. The 2nd and 4th Sundays we hold a more formal Holy Communion with more traditional hymns.
On any 5th Sunday we have an all-age service, at one of our Benefice Churches - details on our noticesheet. Unless it's Easter Day as it is on March 31 2024! - we'll have an 11am Holy communion service in Church.
On Wednesdays we hold a simple said Holy Communion service in the Church at 9.30am. Except on the 3rd Wednesday each month when it is held at 10.30am at St Nicholas Court, Cornfield Drive.

We realise that in the past some Churches have been places where people found abuse rather than security and healing. So safeguarding is key to our Church life. Our Benefice is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officers (PSOs), who can be contacted on the email addresses below. The Diocese of Gloucester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA on 01452 835516 (out of hours, 07944 680320). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police on 999 and your local authority Children Services on 01454 866000, or for a Vulnerable Adult 01454 868007 (Out of hours emergency team for Children and Adults, 01454 615165

Most churches are “Excepted Charities” and are therefore not registered with the Charity Commission. You can download a PDF that includes your church name, address and church code. This PDF, which is an extract from the Church of England’s database of churches, can serve as a certificate for churches requiring proof of their charity status when registering for online and card-based giving. Click on the download button below and fill in the short form. You will then be emailed the certificate as a PDF.
