About Us
St. Paul's is an 'all age' church on the east side of Macclesfield. Our tall spire is a local landmark visible from all parts of the town and its surrounding hills. We describe ourselves as 'Living, loving, serving and growing together with God.'
Community and family focused, we use Common Worship as our main source of liturgy but we aim to make all our services feel relaxed and 'normal', with a friendly welcome awaiting newcomers and visitors. Children are especially welcome!
Our Parish Centre is busy all through the week with community-based activities for all age-ranges: starting with Yoga on Monday evenings. Macclesfield Exercise groups on Tuesday mornings. On Wednesdays we start with Pilates, midweek Communion/Morning Prayer Services, then Knit & Natter in the afternoons. A lunch club on Thursdays followed by the Cantata Afternoon Choir and a Toddler Group on Friday mornings. Uniformed groups meet throughout the week too, rounding out the evenings.
We have home groups which periodically and a themed bible study at the Vicarage every few months. We hold a short morning prayer on Monday at 10.30am n the Parish Office or Centre.
We have special services at Easter, Harvest, All Soul's, Advent and Christmas - our Community Churchyard Carols event is always a well-attended highlight!
Full details of all our events are on our website.
