If you would like to be married in All Saints’ Church Wouldham please contact us via the contact form.
All Saints’ Church seats about 120 persons, though currently (August 2020) we are limited to 30 persons. It is a lovingly maintained, largely medieval church dating from 1058, set in a churchyard near to the river. Bells, organ, choir and flower arranging are available for weddings in normal circumstances but currently no bells or choir or singing together. There is unrestricted though limited street parking, and some space may be available at weekends in the school car park. There is an accessible toilet in the church.
To be married in the church at least one of the couple needs to be resident in the Parish of Burham and Wouldham, or to have a qualifying connection.
There is not usually a problem about divorced people seeking re-marriage in church.
A church wedding does not have to be lavish or expensive. The important thing is the celebration of love, and for those who choose a church wedding, the added solemnity of making vows with the recognition that it is done in the presence of God.
The basic cost of a church wedding compares very favourably with many other options, and the optional extras such as bells and choir are charged at quite reasonable rates.
More information about church weddings can be found on the Church of England website.
