Every Sunday our children and youth join the whole church family for worship at 10am. After a short time of worship together the children and young people go out to their age specific groups for their own teaching sessions. The worship includes contemporary music, Bible readings and teaching, and prayers.

Our Family Sundays (All Age Service) are every first Sunday of the month.

Children start the service with the adults and then move to groups part way through, returning in time to share communion. We have a small play area for very young children.

We celebrate Holy Communion, which is open to all who are baptised and for whom it is their normal practice. Others (including children) are invited to receive a blessing.
Refreshments are available after the service.

St Francis, Strood

Welcome to St Francis, Strood. We are a vibrant multigenerational church in the heart of South Strood. We are all about bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to everyone, sharing together, and seeking the Lord in all we do. We believe that God is at work transforming lives and our community through the power of His Holy Spirit. So, we seek to create and grow disciples of Jesus and together advance the Kingdom of God here in South Strood.

Our worship on a Sunday is at 10am, please do join us!

We live real lives, with real faith as real people.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Strood: St Francis is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Rochester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Antonietta Ogundimu on [email protected] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Greg Barry [email protected]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
