About Us

Welcome to St Philip & St James' Church known locally as "Pip and Jim's", we are a Church of England church in Walderslade, a suburb to the south of Chatham in the Medway Towns. More information about us is available on our website and our Facebook page .

We normally have about 200 people joining us across our services each Sunday. Parking is available at Greenacre Academy on Walderslade Road for our morning service.

10:00am This service includes times of contemporary sung worship, a talk and the opportunity to respond in prayer ministry. We usually celebrate Holy Communion at this service on the first and third Sunday of each month. There are groups for children up to Year 9. Refreshments are served after the service. 

Sunday@5pm Been out for the day? Been involved in sports on a Sunday morning or just wanted a lie-in? Then this is for you and everyone in your household. Bring everyone from home, and neighbours and friends for fun, interactive and thought provoking services. Come for tea and nibbles from 5pm then a time of worship, teaching and ministry.

Additionally, on the last Sunday of each month, we have a special Songs of Praise service at 4pm followed by a light tea served in the Church Hall.

We are also pleased to host Walderslade Sings! a community choir singing rock and pop songs from across the decades. Do join in. That starts at 7:30pm on most Sunday evenings in term time.
