Bell Ringing

St Peter & St Paul's has a Tower of 8 bells which, due to the process of time and events, had not been rung regularly for several years and so the process to re-establish a local band started in January 2023.

With the very generous help of experienced bellringers from across Gravesend Deanery and beyond we have been recruiting and training new members to re-establish a Bell Ringing team. We have a team of 13 learners (ages from 11 to mature retired!) who are progressing well and several members have now achieved the standard for membership of Kent County Association of Change Ringers (KCACR). 

We rang for the Coronation of King Charles III, along with our trainers and visiting ringers from other parishes. It was a fun day as we then joined them on a Ring for the King round trip visiting other bell towers across the area.
