St. Nicholas at Southfleet

Welcome Reader,

Saint Nicholas church is found at the very heart of the village of Southfleet, accessed by a short walk up Church Road, where the picturesque building stands proud in a very well kept graveyard. There has been a church here since Saxon times, with the present church built around the early part of 1300's.

We invite everyone to attend our weekly services and join with our congregation in worshipping God. There is a splendid organ to accompany the singing of hymns along with our choir of voices.

Saint Nicholas is also a popular choice for Baptisms and Weddings. This church is for everyone to attend or just visit, come and enjoy the serenity of the surroundings.

Saint Nicholas is part of a joint Benefice with Saint Barnabas church in Istead Rise. A joint Benefice is where two churches have one Priest in Charge and he takes services in each church on alternate weeks. When the month has a fifth Sunday then we all come together as one and celebrate the service in either Southfleet or Istead Rise.
