A simple meal (home made soup, rolls and cheese) in St Matthew's Community Centre, by candle light, where we read together the events of the last week in Jesus' life. After each reading a candle is extinguished, then we move together into the the Church, gather around the Communion table, and remember Jesus in bread and wine. At the ned of the evening, we leave in silence.
Foot washing is available before the service, and booking for the meal is essential so we cater for the right numbers.

St Matthew's Wigmore

St Matthew's Wigmore is one of four churches which make up the Parish of South Gillingham - building community, nurturing faith, and growing disciples of Jesus Christ. We are open for Worship every Sunday, at 10.30am for our main service, and at 5pm for Live@Five - a more informal gathering. The church is open each weekday morning, and there are a range of midweek groups at various times including the 139 coffee morning on Mondays - for babies and toddlers and the adults caring for them and The Place of Welcome - for anyone in the community - every Thursday morning at10am.

The parish of South Gillingham: St Matthew is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Rochester’s safeguarding pages: www.rochester.anglican.org/safeguarding/ contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
