At last thanks to a final grant from the National Churches Trust the work is going ahead on the Western Tower at St Mary's. This has needed doing for many years as the stones and pointing were weathering badly.  We are very grateful for this grant to make the tower safe and weatherproof for the future. The Benefact Trust, the Friends of Kent Churches and the Rochester Bridge Trust have all contributed generously to the fund. We expect to finish mid November
