East Dartford Benefice

East Dartford Benefice is currently in Interregnum.

In the Church of England, an interregnum is the period when a parish's leadership is vacant, between the departure of one vicar (incumbent) and the arrival of the next, a time often described as "between reigns," requiring the Churchwardens and Area Dean to manage pastoral care, services, and property. It's a formal process of reflection and selection, ensuring continuity through lay leadership and diocesan support, with the goal of finding a new priest to lead the parish forward.

If you would like to have a conversation about getting married at either St Alban or St Edmund, or about renewing your wedding vows, or about receiving prayers of thanksgiving and blessing if you are part of a same sex couple, we would love to hear from you. Get in touch we'd be happy to help.
