Everyone involved in church life at St John’s has a role to play in promoting a Safer Church for all.

St John’s follows the safeguarding policy known as Promoting a Safer Church, drawn up by the House of Bishops of the Church of England. The National Safeguarding Team have also published an interactive guide to safeguarding, which provides a useful overview of safeguarding in the Church of England. If you have any worries or concerns about yourself or another person who may be being harmed or is at risk of harm, we will do our best to help you. If you have any concerns that an individual working or volunteering at St John’s may be acting inappropriately or harming another, then please report this to one of our Safeguarding Officers or another appropriate authority.
