Friends in Florida

We are delighted to have formed an association with St Gregory's Episcopal Church in Boca Raton, Florida. St Gregory's is a thriving city church and very different in many ways from the churches of the Bride Valley, but its fundamental principles and values are very similar, and it is this that enables us to enjoy what has become a fulfilling association.

This connection came about through Litton Cheney's director of music, Paul Cheater, who is a friend of the director of music at St Gregory's, Tim Brumfield. Before moving to Florida, Tim was the organist of the Cathedral of St John the Divine in New York, which is the largest cathedral in the world. When Paul visited New York in 2008, Tim invited him to give an informal lunchtime organ recital in the cathedral and Paul and Tim have remained as friends 'across the pond' ever since.

Recently, Paul was invited to lead three online services of Morning Prayer, standing in for Tim Brumfield, who was on vacation. This was a great privilege for Paul, who is one of the Bride Valley's worship leaders. The services were very well received and as a result Paul is now an honorary member of the congregation and of the worship ministry team of St Gregory's.
