St Peter’s celebrated the Coronation with a lovely service led by the Rev Ryder Rogers on Sunday the 7th May followed by ‘ Pimms and Planes ‘ . The Church was beautifully decorated with a knitted King and Queen displayed on the Balcony in the windowsill. People were invited to make a paper plane and fly it down the aisle past their Majesties in a ‘ Fly Past ‘ ! Prize for the furthest plane flown ! We toasted them with Pimms and ate savoury nibbles . Huge success with many people attending the service and the ‘ Fly Past ‘ after . In the afternoon there was a boat race of home made boats down the stream followed by tea and cake in a local garden ,
This year, the money collected went to the 'Three ELL’s Trust ‘ - a local charity that supports families with children who have life changing conditions . You can find out more about their work here:The Three Ells Trust (three-ells-trust.com)
