This is a set of 5 electromagnetically operated chiming hammers, one against each bell and connected to a control box in the ringing chamber. At a press of a button, we can have a vast range of options including pealing bells, a calling bell and a funeral bell.
The bells can still be rung by the ringers but in the future, it means that if we are unable to ring, the bells, which are such an integral part of the community, will always be heard.
