Every church is unique, but our stone-built Norman Church is most rare as it is situated next to an Early Bronze Age Barrow. This place has been a sacred and special site, and a focus of the community, for around five millennia. Nestling deep in the valley and surrounded by extensive chalk downs, many ancient tracks and ways lead straight towards it.
We are committed to continuing to provide a place for the community and visitors to gather: to share their lives, consider and explore their faith or just quietly sit in peace, prayer and contemplation, enjoying the simple beauty of the church and the inspiring landscape which surrounds it.
Our popular Cafe Church Service on the fourth Sunday of every month at 10:30am warmly welcomes all comers over refreshments, to discuss and discover how Christian values are so relevant to today's world.
