Baydon: St Nicholas

St. Nicholas' Church is nestled behind the village school in the centre of Baydon. We have strong links with this C of E school through our foundation governors, weekly Collective Worship and 'Open the Book' in school, and end of term services in church. Although we are a small community, we like to think we are friendly and welcoming. Please get in touch or come to say hello!

Safeguarding

Our parish of Whitton is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Salisbury’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO via the Whitton Team Office 01672 520963 (answerphone out of office hours).

Alternatively, contact the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisors - the team is available from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. You can:
Email [email protected]
Phone 07500 664800 (Monday to Thursday inclusive and on call Monday and Tuesday evenings until 9pm)
Phone 07469 857888 (Tuesday to Friday inclusive and on call Wednesday and Thursday evenings until 9pm)
If your query is urgent or out of hours, please contact thirtyone:eight on 0303 0031111.

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police (999 in an emergency) and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
