We celebrate Harvest on Sunday 27th September with services of 8am Holy Communion and 6.30pm Harvest Evensong. We welcome Harvest Gifts of tinned or packet foods which will be donated to the Melksham Foodbank

Harvest Festival Flower Arrangements Preview Evening. Come along to the preview evening on Friday 25th September be amongst the first to see the special arrangements for our Harvest Festival along with a Jack and the Beanstalk themed tableau at the west end of the nave. Refreshments will be available (by donation for St Marys Flower Fund).

Holy Communion

Evensong

Evensong with hymns and canticles and prayers with the support of the church choir, this traditional service of Evensong is held monthly from May to September.
September's Service is our Harvest Festival Service.

Commemoration of the Faithful Departed

We are having an All Souls Service at 4pm on Sunday 1st November. We will be remembering the faithful departed during this service and there will be an opportunity to light a candle in memory of a loved one.
( From mid October there will be a clipboard on the bookcase in the church for you to write down names of your loved ones you would wish to be remembered by name at this service.
We will routinely remember all those by name who have had funerals or interments at St Mary’s during the past three years)

Remembrance Sunday Service

A traditional Remembrance Sunday Service, we begin the service at 10.50am and we will join the national two minutes silence at 11am as we remember all those who have died as a result of warfare. During the service we remember by name all those recorded on Steeple Ashton & Great Hinton War Memorials.
After the service we move to Steeple Ashton War Memorial for a short wreath laying service, from then we move on to Great Hinton War Memorial Hall for a further wreath laying service.
