Facilities and features

Accessibility

We have four toilets, including one with fully disabled and baby-changing facilities in the extension at the west end of the church.

To be found in the disabled toilet in the extension at the west end of the church.

All are on the level and dementia friendly.

We have a newly laid and so smooth entrance path and then level access throughout until the chancel step.

Of the highest quality - and throughout the church.

This is always available - please ask if copies are not to hand or have run out.

Very welcome.

We have won an award from 'Dementia Friendly Bradford' - and offer...
• A smooth path from the church gates and level access into the church
• A light and welcoming atmosphere, and a church which is always warm
• A church which is open all day every day
• Sturdy oak seats, some with arms
• 4 toilets (all with contrasting colour seats) which are very easily accessible, and 1 which is fully disabled accessible
• Kitchen / refreshments facility

Following the re-ordering of the church, we worked with Dementia Friendly Bradford and alongside Bradford Health Centre, Alzheimer’s Support and the Area Board for a long time concerning how we could best to use this wonderful new facility. And so we came up with the idea of the Forget-me-not Café. It now runs twice monthly in two different locations. The first Thursday of the month we meet in the Dog & Fox in Bradford on Avon between 3pm and 4.30pm; the third Thursday of the month we meet in Holy Trinity Church from 11am – 12.30pm. Each meeting has a different theme and includes refreshments. The café is open to anyone who is elderly and would like some company. The formula is very simple:
• A smiling and friendly welcome from trained volunteers
• The informal and supportive presence of the Health Centre and Alzheimer’s Support staff
• Home-made cakes and sandwiches and freshly brewed tea and coffee on tap
• Attractive tables with table-cloths and flowers
• Lots of chat and fun - meeting old friends and new – and an understanding atmosphere where people can relax
• A monthly activity – eg bulb planting, singing, crafts, board-games
