St Andrew's was full to capacity on 28 October for the Licensing of Maggie Metcalfe as Associate Priest in the Chalke Valley Benefice.

The evening began with a procession of priests, followed by the collected churchwardens ahead of Bishop Andrew. He led a lively service in which the singing was so loud that at times one could not hear the organ! Maggie was welcomed by priests and laiety alike, and Bishop Andrew gave the address on the River of Life.

All were welcomed afterwards for wine and nibbles at the Radnor Hall and a chance to congratulate Maggie on her new role. It was a lovely evening and we are lucky to have Maggie join us.
