About Us

For over 1300 years the Minster has been a living centre for pilgrimage, prayer, mission and worship. Today that work continues, as its community extends a warm and inclusive welcome to all who come through its doors. The Minster is not a museum, although we have inherited some wonderful treasures from the past. More than anything, it is a place where people have encountered something of God's love and (to quote T S Eliot) "where prayer has been valid". We hope you will come and discover that truth for yourself.
