St. Mary's Church in West Moors is gearing up for a unique fundraising event: a 24-hour piano-thon!
From 7am on Saturday 22 March 2025 to 7am on Sunday 23 March 2025, St Mary’s Choir Director and pianist Paul Barber will play the piano continuously – with breaks for other local musicians to show off their skills throughout the day - the music will be played live in the church and streamed live on Facebook.
The piano-thon aims to raise funds for a new portable piano. This instrument will be invaluable in expanding St. Mary's ministry beyond the church walls, allowing them to bring music and joy to various community settings, including care homes, schools, and local events.
Afternoon tea will be served at church on Saturday afternoon.
Everyone is invited to visit St. Mary's throughout the piano-thon to show their support for Paul and enjoy his musical talents.
Donations can be made in person at the church or online at bit.ly/maryspianothon
