We are a church that is committed to supporting others, both here in this country and overseas. The profit from our parish events is tithed to support local charities. We also throughout the year give financial support to charities that we have strong links with:
MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) whose vision is to see 'isolated people physically and spiritually transformed in Christ's name.' They are a charity that uses aviation and technology, to reach the most isolated people who are in need. For 75 years, MAF has been flying light aircraft over jungles, mountains, swamps and deserts. They have enabled more than 2,000 aid, development and mission organisations to bring medical care, emergency relief, long-term development and Christian hope to thousands of communities.
Friends of St James Mission & School, Zimbabwe St James Mission and School is near Nyamandhlovu in Zimbabwe, 50 miles from Bulawayo. The friends provide, assist and enhance the educational role and work of the school and promote the belief of the Christian religion amongst the pupils of the school, their families and the local community as a whole. They also assist in the relief of poverty amongst those pupils and their families and members of the local community as a whole who have no permanent housing or permanent water supply or do not have an adequate food or medical supply or adequate shoes and clothes.
Children's Society We support the work of the Children's Society throughout the year and especially at Christmas in conjunction with St Mary's First School and Nursery.
