St Mary's Swanage

Welcome to St Mary's!  Whether you are a resident or a visitor to Swanage, we look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful church.

Our regular Sunday services are at 8am, 10.30 am and 6.30pm, with 10.30am being our main Sunday service, with children's activities and refreshments afterwards. We have a really good choir who sing at the 10.30am and 6.30pm services.  Our growing junior church join sing twice  a month in our services too.

If you have any questions or wish to discuss weddings or baptisms, please do not hesitate to contact our Rector, Rev  Ian  ([email protected] or by phone on 07733 213535).  Or you can leave a message at the parish office: [email protected]

Our church is open 8am to 4.30pm daily.  Please feel free to pop in and look round and say a prayer, or just experience the quiet beauty of St Mary's.

We believe that the most important thing in the world is to get connected to God who made this world and each one of us in it. We believe he loves us and we can find peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ who died for us and has sent us his Holy Spirit to help us to live more and more as he wants us to live. We want to share this new life that he gives us with those around us. If you want to talk about faith or have any questions about God please contact Rev Ian.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Swanage, of which St Mary the Virgin is part is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSOs) in each church. Margaret Griffin is PSO for St Mary's Church. Our Diocese of Salisbury’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisors who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSOs or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor using the button below. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
