2025 PLANS

Our church building is in need of some careful refurbishment and modernisation, and could be used much more by our local community. So, we would like to transform St Peter’s into a community hub with an emphasis on cultural events, as our aesthetic appeal and resounding acoustics are exceptional.

We already have lots of ideas to enhance St Peter’s but would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions, so please get in touch and introduce yourself. We are looking for people with various skills and expertise to help and be part of this adventure… restoring a vibrant space rooted in faith, community and culture.

St Peter's, Parkstone was beloved by Lord Baden Powell, founder of the global Scouts movement, with his marriage and baptism of his son, Peter, taking place in the church. Please do also take the time to visit our sister church, St Mary's on Brownsea Island, which is open most days during the summer season. We offer a simple service at 3pm every Sunday from April - October.
