St Mary's,Tarrant Hinton

The Parish of St Mary's, Tarrant Hinton while still legally part of the Chase Benefice, Dorset is now working with the parishes of Tarrant Gunville, Tarrant Monkton, Pimperne, Durweston and Stourpaine.  

You are very welcome to attend any services in the parishes mentioned above.  After 4 July 2024 the services at Tarrant Hinton will be:

1st Sunday of the month at approx 0915 Breakfast together where we alternate hosting with Tarrant Gunville in our village Halls.

2nd Sunday of the month - our 30 minute Service "Hinton Half Hour"  1030 - we meet for coffee at 1015 in Church

3rd Sunday of the month - no service at Tarrant Hinton.

4th Sunday of the Month at 11.00 am our Parish Communion Service in Church

We are  committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults and has a Safeguarding Officer for the whole benefice, Gill Baverstock. If you have any concerns about the wellbeing of a child, young person or adult, please refer to the noticeboard in the church porch or download the policy and flowchart on the left. 

The Diocese of Salisbury’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advises our Safeguarding Officers. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

An informal short act of worship, suitable for all the Family. It lasts for half an hour. We start with refreshments together at about 1015 for the service to start at 1030.

As of 4 July, we bid a sad farewell to Reverends David and Henriet Miell. The Chase Benefice will be in vacancy . Read further for plans about our reorganisation.
