The Adventures of Hephzibah

Introducing Hephzibah:

Hello! My name is Hephzibah, and I live in the Stour Vale Benefice, which is a friendliness of villages between Shaftesbury and Gillingham in Dorset. Alright, I know that it’s not called a ‘friendliness’ of villages, but I think it should be. It’s a lovely place to live. All the neighbourhood children are really kind to me. Even the adults smile when they see me and are always welcoming!

My name mean’s ‘Loved by God,’ which makes me feel very special. Of course, everyone is loved by God, so we could all be called ‘Hephzibah’, but that would be very confusing!

I have lots of adventures at the events organised by the churches in the Benefice, so I’ll share those with you. Watch this space! #adventuresofhephzibah

Todber Outdoor Carol Service

I (Hephzibah) had a lovely time at the Todber Outdoor Carol Service yesterday. We sang all my favourite carols and heard the familiar Christmas Story readings. Being outdoors we could have sparklers, which was very exciting and lots of fun! There was also hot chocolate, mulled wine, mince pies and sausage rolls. Yum! #AdventuresofHephzibah

Hephzibah and the Lego Christmas Story Trail

I (Hephzibah) went along for a sneak preview of the Lego Christmas Story Trail at Christchurch, East Stour. It’s great fun! You use the QR code to download the app, then point your phone’s camera at the picture with a red border on each poster, and it shows you a hidden video of the Lego characters telling their part in the Christmas Story. There are five different characters to find, dotted around the churchyard. It’s open all day, every day, from 18th December to 5th January, so do come along and give it a go! #AdventuresofHephzibah
