About Us

St Michael & All Angels is one of a group of 7 churches called the Stour Vale Benefice which covers Buckhorn Weston, East Stour, Fifehead Magdalen, Kington Magna, Stour Provost, Todber and West Stour.

There has been a church in Stour Provost since the early 14th century and it serves a rural community including Woodville and, since 2015 when their church was closed, the residents of Stour Row to the east on the slopes of Duncliffe Wood.

Our regular congregation is joined by a large number of villagers for services such as Harvest, Carol, Easter and Remembrance services that are well attended and help bring our community together. A whole host of village volunteers help look after the churchyard, the flowers and church cleaning.
