St. Mary Magdalen: The Church With The Blue Roof

Welcome to St Mary Magdalen Church – we are "the church with the blue roof" in Chapelfields, Coventry.

We are an Anglican congregation in the Catholic tradition of the Church of England in the Diocese of Coventry with a heart for social justice. We are "liberal" and "inclusive", recognising that everyone is made in God’s image. Accordingly, we welcome all into our midst,  irrespective of their age, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, nationality, physical or mental abilities, culture, background or their present or past situations.

The parish of St Mary Magdalen, Chapelfields is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of Coventry’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services

Scouts take part in activities as diverse as kayaking, abseiling, expeditions overseas, photography, climbing and zorbing. As a Scout you can learn survival skills, first aid, computer programming, or even how to fly a plane. There’s something for every young person. It’s a great way to have fun, make friends, get outdoors, express your creativity and experience the wider world.

Every year Scouts helps 450,000 young people in the UK enjoy new adventures; to experience the outdoors; interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential
