Welcome To Christ Church!
Christ Church was initially established as a Local Ecumenical Partnership (LEP) in the 1980s and is located next to the Elm Centre and Wellbeing Hub in Estover. We continue to share our building with Missio as Gentes - a Roman Catholic Community and our services and activities reflect our commitment to working with other denominations. We currently partner with Plymouth Youth for Christ of offer a Monday night youth group, and the Pursue Network as we establish our monthly contemporary evening service.
Christ Church is a distinctive modern building with a smaller hall and servery which makes it ideal for smaller community groups through the week. It has a distinctive side chapel which included a bespoke stained-glass window made by the monks of Buckfast Abbey. The chapel is used as a permanent place of prayer.
Our parish of Eggbuckland with Estover is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Exeter’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.
