St Giles-on-the-Hill

Sitting proudly at the top of the street that bears its name, the church of St Giles, also known as the Wisteria Church, has the tallest church tower in Norwich with a height of 120 ft. The wisteria was planted by a former priest at the church in celebration of his daughter’s wedding just over 100 years ago and it still flourishes annually. These two features make the church one of the most iconic in Norwich.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Norwich: St Giles is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Norwich’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises the PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact our PSO Mrs Lindsey Green whom you can call or text on 07799 604876, email [email protected], or contact the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
